Pistis (Ancient Greek)
• To be persuaded of something
• Conviction of the truth of anything, belief.
• Loyal to your Faith
• In secular antiquity referred to a guarantee (warranty).

Moses was Faithful to his calling
• He chose to identify with the Israelites and gave up his easy life.
• He obeyed God’s command to lead his people.
• He faithfully led the people through decades of difficult life in the desert knowing he would never actually see the Promised Land.
Jesus displayed Faithfulness
• Luke 22:39-45 “…Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine…”

Faithfulness is not for the Conformers.
• Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is being sure of what is hoped for and certain of what we do not see.”
Faithfulness is not for the Cowardly.
Faithfulness is not Conditional.
• I, (______________), take you Jesus to be my Savior, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. I will trust you and honor you. I will laugh with you and cry with you. I will love you faithfully through the best and the worst, through the difficult and the easy. What may come, I believe you will always be there. As I have put my faith in you, so I give you my life to keep until death do us unite.
