    In case of inclement weather this winter
    , we will announce any Sunday service changes on television (WTHR channel 13) and radio (WILO [1570] AM and Shine 99 [99.7] FM). Ordinarily, we would have an 11:00 service only with all other services and activities canceled.

    A much quicker option for folks with internet access is to go to the WTHR website at and click on the “cancellations and delays” link.

    Earlier this week on the Christian Standard website I read an interview with Jack Tanner, minister of the Newtown Christian Church in Newtown, CT. Mr. Tanner was actively involved with pastoral care in the Newtown community in the aftermath of the tragic shootings last month. Although I do not know Mr. Tanner, I found it interesting to read his account of the incredibly challenging circumstances he faced in his community. The interview can be found here.

  • Please sign up to help with one of the Christmas Eve services (3:00, 7:00, 8:30, & 10:00).  Signup sheets are in the west foyer.

    The annual Christmas Breakfast is Sunday morning, December 23 from 10:00 - 11:00.

    Our Church family is invited to go Christmas caroling on Sunday, December 16.  Meet at the Church at 5:00 and bring some fresh fruit, cookies, or other items for baskets to be distributed.
  • This year's Harvest of Gratitude offering will be used for our office/nursery/old kitchen/Sunday school room remodel project.  Any extra donations will go to the building fund.

    The MCC Caring Ministry that provides meals for members in emergency situations is updating the list of those willing to help prepare the meals.  There are several teams that share this responsibility.  If you are able to help out, please contact Laurenda Whitcomb.
